BARC Animal Charity Website Upgrade
In the spring of 2009 the BARC (Barnsley Animal Rescue Charity) website was in major need of an upgrade.
The BARC website had been up and running on for a number of years and had been maintained by the chairman of the trust as a one-man-project using a static HTML editor and FTP link to work on the site.
This led to major issues related to website updates and design consistency. It also made it impossible for other members of the BARC team to work on the site.
The problem was a simple one to fix, they needed a CMS – enter base6 and WordPress to the rescue.

Along with a technical upgrade the BARC website also underwent a total re-design.
This enriched the site by improving redability and visual impact through the use of web standards and modern design principles.
